Cookery Classroom
The school has a purpose built, fully equipped, cookery classroom that is used to teach children the varied skills used in the kitchen. They learn about ingredients and where they come from; cookery techniques such as knife skills; how to use tools and equipment safely; food hygiene and most importantly, how to cook some fantastic food!
Use of the cookery classroom is linked to Design and Technology, PSHE, P.E., Science and wellbeing groups and, of course, to work done in the school’s garden areas.
