The Queen

We really enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The children learnt so much about HM Queen Elizabeth II, her family, her significance and, in Upper Key Stage Two, how she compares to other monarchs. 

Day One

Each class studied the Queen and created timelines to show significant events in her life.

Day Two

Each class  researched a decade from the Queen’s reign. They then presented their work in a whole school assembly and proudly sang the national anthem.

Day Three

Celebrations continued with more in depth studies into the Queen and the Jubilee. We had a good time eating our picnics outside for the Jubilee lunch and loved having our faces painted in red, white and blue.
